This elegant building comprises the most beautiful example of a Champagne timber-frame chapel. The sanctuary belonging to a leprosy hospital at the beginning of the 15th century, it became a simple chapel used for devotions towards the 17th.
The three span nave and three sided choir are covered in a gothic vaulted ceiling leaving the carefully moulded and carved posts and tie-beams exposed. The interior is lit via six semicircular windows.
In the last century, the tendency was to attribute the chapel to the 17th century and to regard the porch as part of an older 14th century building that had been preserved. However, without doubt, it is better to date the whole building from the 15th century, even if it means acknowledging some later alterations.
