From the fertile period of the Champagne fairs, Bar-sur-Aube has managed to preserve a rich architectural heritage.
To be explored: 12th century St Peter’s church, 16th century “halloy” or gallery, St Maclou church (outside), 11th century cellar, 16th and 17th century media library, private houses and timber frame houses. Guided tours of the town or St Peter’s church by appointment. Walk in the steps of the philosopher Gaston Bachelard, a son of the area.
