Virginie GANDON-AMANT – Trainer in Lacquers and patinas on wood/Colorist on leathers; Passionate about color and art in general, Virginie Gandon-Amant trained at the Beaux Arts in Troyes in 1981. For several years, she worked in the Faubourg Saint Antoine on all styles of furniture as well as on numerous construction sites: Senate, National furniture, furniture from Bernard Loiseau's shop. She became a Gilder, Lacquerer, Ornamentist on wood, a State Diploma from the Chambre d'Ameublement de Paris in 1986. Today an Artisan d'Art after more than 30 years of experience, she passes on her know-how by offering introductory courses in furniture renovation by the day or several days. She uses acrylic and ecological paints and patinas, provides the equipment, supplies and smocks. All you need to do is bring a small piece of furniture (console, bedside table, frame, decorative object, etc.) and your packed lunch, a room is at your disposal. In parallel with these courses, she renovates damaged, faded or discolored leathers (armchairs, sofas, car seats, jackets, handbags, etc.) by giving them a second life by creating her own shades and patinas with products from a professional range for leathers. Virginie welcomes you every day by appointment only in her workshop where she works in complementarity with her husband Edouard AMANT, Artisan d'Art in Saddlery Tapestry.
