Champagne Gaston Cheq - Coopérative les coteaux du Landion

Located in the heart of the Côte des Bar, between Meurville and Bar-sur-Seine, the Cooperative Coteaux du Landion was born in 1961. At the time it is a handful of winemakers who meet to press their grapes. Fifty years later, the cooperative has diversified through winemaking, dressing and marketing.

Today, it brings together 80 cooperators and 176 hectares of vines and develops its own champagne under the brand name Gaston Cheq.

The grape varieties are Chardonnay blanc, Meunier noir and Pinot noir. The soil and subsoil on which the vines grow are composed in varying proportions of Kimmeridgian limestones, Kimmeridgian marls and clay marl. The vineyard is driven by the practice of conventional viticulture.
