Start: Town Hall Square in Rigny-le-Ferron Length: 28 km Elevation Gain: 272 m Difficulty: Easy Start: Rigny-le-Ferron The Church of Saint Martin was likely rebuilt on the remains of an older building, dating from the 12th century. Inside the church are several statues, including Saint Fiacre dating from the 16th century and Saint Syre in pilgrim's garb. This statue is a true masterpiece of the Troyes school. Magnificent stained-glass windows attract our attention, such as the Assumption of the Virgin, Mary Magdalene, the Passion, the Tree of Jesse, and the Descent from the Cross… Km 4: Cérilly Cérilly Castle, a manor house with a defensive character built in 1441. The springs in the castle grounds partially supply the capital with water. Cardinal Pierre de Bérulle was born in this castle in 1575. Km 8: Bérulle. Nestled in an exceptional location that earned it a place on the inventory of picturesque sites of the Aube department, the village of Bérulle is home to many treasures. Its recently restored church is a listed historical monument and boasts magnificent stained-glass windows. Above the village, one discovers the Chapel dedicated to Saint Reine d'Alise in its verdant setting. Km 18: Le Mineroy. The bell from the Mineroy belfry, acquired in 1830 for the schoolhouse, taken down in 1860, and fixed beneath the belfry in 1864, was the heart and soul of the village. Arrival at km 28: Rigny-le-Ferron via the D115.
