Nicknamed "Romilly the Sock Capital," it was once the true capital of the industry. Here you can discover how the winding machines and other hosiery-making techniques work. A team of volunteers will explain the different stages of production. Various areas are dedicated to elastic knitting, the "Cachou" sock, businesses of yesterday and today, and the world's largest sock, listed in the Guinness Book of Records. Former candlemakers will also bring this bygone craft to life. From March 2nd to November 30th: Open every Thursday from 2 pm to 5 pm. Other days by appointment. From December 1st to March 1st: Open only by appointment at +33 3 10 13 64 28 or by email: romillypatrimoine.asso@sfr.fr. Guided tours for groups of at least 10 people are available by appointment. Accessible for people with disabilities and parking available.
