From October 4 to December 7: PALIS - LORAND GASPAR Exhibition "POETE DU DESERT" All audiences, Free admission Guided tours and image workshops by reservation. On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Lorand Gaspar, the Tournefou presents an exceptional exhibition of his magnificent photographs and art books alongside some works by his artist friends: T'ang Haywen, Zao Wou-Ki, Arpàd Szenes, Alexandre Hollan as well as a work by his first wife: Francine Gaspar-Ternynck. This desert poet grew up in Transylvania, studied medicine in Paris, and practiced his profession as a surgeon in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, and Tunisia. It was wars that shaped his geographical journey from the Second World War to the conflicts in the Middle East, leading him to successive exiles. It was nature in all its forms that inspired him above all, both in his poetic and photographic work. "I seek a breath deep in the stones, a freshness that rises in the cistern of the eyes, a last water where clarity kneels." Lorand Gaspar His poetic work has been rewarded with numerous prizes: the Guillaume-Apollinaire prize, and the Goncourt prize for poetry for his entire body of work... Recital: During the inauguration of the exhibition, Jakab Perczel, Hungarian pianist training at the Béla Bartok Conservatory in Budapest, will perform various pieces by Debussy (Préludes, Estampes, Suite Bergamasque...).
