The first exhibition of the new school year will pay tribute to a well-known Vendeuvrois. With energy and generosity, Maurice Bellenoue devoted his life to the development of his town and its population. He was a teacher at the Pierre and Marie Curie school, First Deputy, initiator and main contributor to several local associations. Maurice Bellenoue's outlook and will were in tune with each other and fiercely focused on the future. So much so that his actions bore beautiful fruits for the Vendeuvrois. With passion and method, he set about reviving La Lyre Vendeuvroise in the seventies, participated in the creation of the Friends of the Château, one of whose culminations, the Vindovera show, marked several generations every summer for 20 years. He also participated in the creation of the Trait d'Union Association and the growth of Artho. A life of self-sacrifice in the service of the community that nevertheless left him some time to cultivate his own secret garden. Indeed, Maurice Bellenoue was also an artist. But this more sensitive and intimate side of him, undoubtedly out of modesty, remained secret until after his death. Free admission during library opening hours.
