EXPOSITION SUR LE BATEAU LAVOIR - Thomas CHEVALIER

FROM JULY 4 TO AUGUST 31, 2025 "An "installation" exhibition of which each painting will be a part. More than twenty paintings, almost exclusively in 130 cm x 97 cm format, will be arranged in the space of the Bateau-Lavoir. The idea of the title was obvious, flowers are the subject of the majority of the works presented. It obviously refers to the Hippy movement which marked the end of the nineteen sixties but the exhibition declines a singular aesthetic, very far from the visual codes of Pop Art which have been traditionally associated with it. The theme is revisited some sixty years later when the ideal of fraternity which animated this movement seems very illusory to us." Thomas Chevalier
