Journée d'étude "Être sculptrice à Paris et ailleurs" au musée Camille Claudel de Nogent-sur-Seine

Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Co-organized by the FAR (Women Artists in Networks) association and the Camille Claudel Museum, this study day will extend the themes of the exhibition. A first session will focus on the Union of Women Painters and Sculptors, with a focus on the major figure of Hélène Bertaux. A second session will broaden the perspective to other trajectories of female sculptors developed outside the artistic networks frequented by Camille Claudel: Antoinette Vallgren, Marcelle Lancelot-Croce, and Anna Quinquaud. These case studies will address the issues of women artists' networks and the transnational dynamics of sculpture at the turn of the 20th century.
