L’Architecture

L'Architecture - Cour de l'Hôtel de Ville - Rue Claude Huez

A marble work by the sculptor Antonin Carles, born in 1851 in the Gers region of France, Architecture was featured at the 1900 Universal Exhibition on the façade of the Grand Palais in Paris. It was part of a group of four allegories: Architecture, Arts, Sciences and Techniques.

It was awarded to the city of Troyes in 1937. The sculpture has been in state custody since 1937.
