Le Rucher de la Barbuise

The Barbuise apiary...a great adventure in Pouan les Vallées... Passionate about nature and the land, this is certainly what led us over the years to this beekeeping approach. An approach which aims to promote the maintenance of the floral and faunal diversity of the territory, of course, but also to allow everyone to consume local honey. The confinement allowed us to expand the herd more quickly than expected! At the head of around fifty hives spread out in and over a 20 kilometer radius from the village, we are Jérôme and Claudia, beekeepers at Rucher de la Barbuise in Pouan les Vallées. We continue to deepen our knowledge not without a certain humility: “the most exciting thing about beekeeping… is that you never stop learning. Everything is a function of parameters; the locations, the environment, the climatic conditions…well, from one hive to another, nothing is ever the same…we discover and we adapt.” For the moment, sales work mainly thanks to the family network/relationships/small reseller stores as well as word of mouth…If you are keen on honey and local authenticity, you know where to find us!
