Les Journées Européennes du Patrimoine 2025 à L’Écomusée de la Mine et de l’Argile à Villenauxe-la-Grande

On the program: Guided tour For 150 years, from 1850, Villenauxe-la-Grande lived to the rhythm of the clay miners - gray faces - and the ceramists - white bottoms. Perpetuating an exceptional know-how, generations of workers will carry the city's reputation far and wide. To raise awareness of the epic story of the mine and the factory, a "Heritage Space" is open in Villenauxe: photos, film, tools, molds and ceramics bear witness to it. And, on occasion, former mine and factory workers reenact the gestures: "lining" a block of clay, mounting a porcelain biscuit... Hours: Saturday - From 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
