Les Journées Européennes du Patrimoine 2025 au Pavillon Henri IV |
The program: “La Ruche etc...” Exhibition by Philippe LAGAUTRIÈRE Exhibition by Philippe LAGAUTRIÈRE Built in the Vaugirard district of Paris by the sculptor Alfred Boucher in 1902, at the same time as he created the Nogent municipal museum, La Ruche was intended to welcome young, destitute artists by offering them a place to live and work. Coming from all over the world, particularly from Central Europe, many now-renowned artists have stayed there: Modigliani, Soutine… and Chagall. The painter and illustrator Philippe Lagautrière has occupied the latter’s former studio for over thirty years. Passionate about the place, he pays homage to it in his work, telling the story of the walls and its occupants, and especially of its creator Alfred Boucher. Following the Centenary exhibition at the Dubois-Boucher Museum and the Hive in 2002, the artist with a thousand stamps returns to Nogent-sur-Seine with his latest creations, where the Hive is always at the forefront. Personal works in painting and drawings will complete the presentation. Opening hours: Saturday & Sunday - From 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
