Saturday, September 20: AIX-EN-OTHE - Visit to the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption, European Heritage Days. 10 Place de l'Hôtel de Ville in Aix-en-Othe, from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. About: The sanctuary and the false transept were built between 1580 and 1620; the nave and the tower, between 1678 and 1680. The plan is classical, in the form of a Latin cross, with a majestic choir and a nave with four bays. The entire church is built in medium limestone, on a hard stone base. The transept and the choir bear a decoration painted in 1870 by Andreazzi. The south chapel of the transept is that of the Rosary; the altarpiece of this chapel bears a canvas by the Troyes painter Jacques de Létin.
