As you cycle along, the Aube region offers you landscapes unexpected. With its diverse landscapes, ranging from the rolling vineyards of Champagne to dense forests and picturesque country lanes, our department is a true paradise for cyclists seeking adventure and discovery. Whether on cobbled roads, steep mountain bike trails or gravel tracks, Aube offers a varied and stimulating playground for cycling enthusiasts.

Discover our 4-day cycling tour, ‘L’Aube à vélo’, which takes you from Nogent-sur-Seine to Vendeuvre-sur-Barse via Troyes and the Lakes of the Forêt d’Orient.
Along the way, you can see castles, visit museums, swim on sandy beaches or watch a wide variety of migratory birds.
Cycle-train intermodality is available from Gare de l’Est via Line 4 (Paris > Mulhouse). Stops: Nogent-sur-Seine, Romilly-sur-Seine, Troyes and Vendeuvre-sur-Barse. To find out more about our greenways, Click here
A 150km route along the Seine, three-quarters of which is on dedicated cycle paths and car-free, available on the Geovelo app, a cycle route planner.
Let’s head for the snow-covered trails!
Discover our Raid Bulles gravel tour, which takes you from the Troyes plain to the vineyards of the Côte des Bar, passing through the forests and valleys of the Pays d’Othe and Armance.
Along the way, you can combine pleasure with exercise by sampling champagne, cider, Chaource cheese and andouillette de Troyes. However, there is a 4,000-metre climb ahead.
An initial 280km route has been created on the initiative of the tourist offices in la Côte des Bar, du Pays d’Othe et d’Armance and Troyes La Champagne Tourisme.
The route, which is nearly 400 km long, is now available on the Komoot app, a cycle route planner.
Let’s hit the back roads!
Set off to explore the 24 cycle routes along back roads recommended by the Aube Departmental Cycling Tourism Committee. Ranging from 33 to 85 km, they cover a total of 1,474 km.
Experienced cyclists can explore the entire Aube department, from the Champagne Plain to the Côte des Bar, passing through the Nogentais, Troyes and the Pays d’Othe et d’Armance (routes are not signposted on the ground).
