Eaux-Puiseaux
Route No. 10 - 28 km - 536 m elevation gain - 3h30 - difficult. Starting from the St. Joseph Chapel and its magnificent viewpoint, set off to conquer the Othe Forest, clinging to its limestone slopes. Along the way, you'll cross the cereal plain with its gentle curves. After a long climb through the undergrowth, your efforts will be rewarded with the sight of the forest's lord, the Pied Cornier tree, an oak over 500 years old with a trunk nearly 6 meters high and 1.85 meters in diameter. After braving the Othe Forest, you'll have plenty of time to admire the village of Eaux-Puiseaux, nestled in the heart of the valley, with its many activities and tourist attractions. The mountain bike center is open year-round except during the general hunting season, from mid-September to early March (a period defined each year by prefectural decree, available at the town hall).
