L'Andra

The French National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management includes various sites in France. The Aube storage center is located in the municipalities of Soulaines-Dhuys, Epothémont and Ville-aux-Bois. It houses short-lived low- and intermediate-level waste (FMA-VC). It has been operated by Andra since 1992. Andra offers several tour options: - Visit the information area in the public reception building, either on your own or accompanied by a guide (by appointment) with models, films and animations, which allow you to better understand radioactivity, its use and the management of radioactive waste. (approximately 1 hour) - Visit the Center by appointment with an introductory presentation, a tour of the site: the waste package storage structures, the underground monitoring galleries. (approximately 2 hours) - These two options can be combined and combined with a visit to the Industrial Center for Grouping, Warehousing and Storage (Cires) located a few kilometers away.
