"La jeune fille qui donne un baiser" - Rue Clemenceau

This tender 1.60 m statue, on the sidewalk in front of the House of the Swing Bridge Attendant, is the work of Dutch sculptor Sjer Jacobs, born in 1963.
It is an enlarged-scale reproduction of one of his works in the Dutch town of Middelburg, called Sofia. What a beautiful invitation to kiss in this city famous for its love courts in the time of Countess Marie de Champagne and the courtly romances of Chrétien de Troyes!
