The Shaka Pub: A New Haven for Lovers of Good Times After many months of work and preparation, the Shaka Pub finally opened its doors on June 17th. Located in the hamlet of "Les Bruyères" in the town of Chaource (10210), the establishment boasts an ideal location on the D444 road connecting Troyes to Tonnerre, offering easy access for everyone, whether by motorcycle or car. The pub features two panoramic terraces with views of our beautiful countryside and its sunsets, as well as two parking areas: one for cars and similar vehicles, and the other reserved for motorcycles. The Shaka: A Sign of Respect and Kindness At the Shaka Pub, our name is much more than just a name. It reflects our mindset, our desire to create a meeting place where respect and kindness are at the heart of everything we do. The Shaka, originally a hand gesture used as a greeting, embodies our core values. The Shaka, also known as "hang loose" or "the cool attitude," is a gesture that transcends cultural barriers. Whether you're a long-time regular or walking through our doors for the first time, we're here to greet you with a warm Shaka. Regular entertainment and events at the Shaka Pub mean there's never a dull moment. Every week, Shaka Pub comes alive with culinary, sporting, and musical events—a full program regularly updated and shared via the Shaka_Pub website and Facebook page. Almost every Saturday night is dedicated to live concerts where local and regional artists take to the stage and get you moving to the rhythm of the music. Shaka Pub regularly organizes themed evenings, linked to a specific activity (for example, Karaoke, 80s DJ sets, etc.) or a delicious dish (Creole night, Mexican night, etc.). For sports fans, Shaka Pub is equipped to broadcast televised events, starting with the 2023 Rugby World Cup. It's another opportunity to get together and experience every highlight of sporting and other competitions. In addition to the lively atmosphere, Shaka Pub offers quality food, both for dining in and takeaway, to satisfy even the hungriest appetites. Its varied menu will satisfy every palate, from appetizer platters to more substantial dishes, including burgers and fries. To accompany your drinks, meals, or simply to quench your thirst, a selection of beers, soft drinks, and cocktails will satisfy all your cravings. A "Sharing Fire Pit" option is available for gathering around a fire pit and griddle, where you can enjoy a bite-sized meal. Up to 12 people can be seated around the fire pit. Reservations are required, with a minimum of 6 people. Appetizer platters, meats, sides, dessert… The Shaka Pub team takes care of everything! You just enjoy the moment! For any birthday celebrated on the current date, Shaka Pub offers a free birthday cake to share (reservations required, ID check required). Private Hire: The venue can be partially or fully hired for important events, whether for families, friends, or groups. Birthdays, receptions, meetings, and various gatherings…inquire now! A Motorcycle-Friendly Venue The Shaka Pub is much more than just a bar; it's a true meeting place for everyone, with a special focus on two- and three-wheeled enthusiasts. A passion for motorcycles and the desire to create a welcoming space for bikers were the primary inspiration for this project. At the Shaka Pub, bikers will find a warm welcome and dedicated motorcycle parking, tools for minor repairs, a compressor, and everything needed to fix a flat tire… Opening Hours The Shaka Pub is open Wednesday to Thursday from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Friday from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM and 6:00 PM to midnight. Weekends and public holidays from 11:00 AM to midnight. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
